WHAT IS SALIVA TESTING?
Also known as 'Salivaomics', saliva testing is a diagnostic technique used to identify a variety of hormones, substances and biomarkers. Saliva is collected through a swab (such as the ORACOL™ range) or a vial, that is easily collected in various settings.
WHY USE SALIVA FOR TESTING?
User friendly with minimal distress.
Wide range of applications (E.g. Drug testing, hormone testing, antibody testing..)
Good alternative to blood tests, as oral fluids are a filtrate of blood.
Long-term sample stability.
WHY USE US?
A completely unique and versatile design.
A comparison study conducted by The Public Health Laboratory (AJ Vyse et al, 2001)[1] found the ORACOL™ device to be superior to it's competitors due to the quality of saliva able to be collected, the ease of use, and it's cost effective benefits.
Most recently, the ORACOL™+ demonstrated that "SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific antibody responses in saliva reflect those observed in serum, and that SARS-CoV-2 antigen-specific IgG can be used to accurately detect prior SARS-CoV-2 infection." (Randad, 2020, line 406)[2]
